1970'lerde Zahra ve Maria Bükreş'te tıp okurken derin bir dostluk kurarlar. 1979'da Şah'a karşı devrim patlak verdiğinde, Zahra değişim umuduyla İran'a geri döner ancak umduğu gibi olmaz ve bir daha Romanya'ya geri dönemez. In the 1970s, Zahra and Maria formed a deep friendship while studying medicine in Bucharest. When the revolution against the Shah broke out in 1979, Zahra returned to Iran in the hope of change, but it did not work out as she had hoped and she could never return to Romania. Over the next decades, they kept in touch with each other, writing letters about their struggles as women fighting for their lives and their countries moving in different directions. Despite the distance and obstacles between them, their longing for each other remains.
Vlad Petri
Vlad Petri 1979 yılında Romanya'nın Bistrita kentinde doğdu. Bükreş'teki Tiyatro ve Film Üniversitesi'nde Sinematografi bölümünden mezun olduktan sonra Berlin Freie Üniversitesi'nde Görsel ve Medya Antropolojisi alanında yüksek lisans yaptı. Özellikle Orta Doğu ve Doğu Avrupa'daki siyasi ve sosyal konulara yoğun ilgi duyan bir film yapımcısıdır. İlk uzun metrajlı filmi Where Are You Bucharest? prömiyerini Rotterdam Uluslararası Film Festivali'nde yaptı. İkinci uzun metraj filmi Devrimler Arasında'nın prömiyerini Berlin Film Festivali'nin Forum bölümünde yaptı.
Vlad Petri was born in 1979 in Bistrita, Romania. After graduating in Cinematography at the University of Theater and Film in Bucharest, he completed a master's degree in Visual and Media Anthropology at the Freie Universität in Berlin. He is a filmmaker with a keen interest in political and social issues, especially in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. His first feature Where Are You Bucharest? premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. His second feature film Between Revolutions premiered at the Forum section of the Berlin Film Festival.
