One of National Theatre Live’s most-watched productions of all time. Academy Award-winning Helen Mirren portrays Queen Elizabeth II in this highly acclaimed play that inspired Netflix’s series *The Crown*. For 60 years, Queen Elizabeth II held weekly, private meetings with each of her 12 prime ministers. Known as “The Audience,” these meetings saw the Queen advise her prime ministers—from Winston Churchill to Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron—on both public and personal matters. Through these private meetings, we catch glimpses of the woman behind the crown and bear witness to the moments that shaped a monarch.
