The film tells the story of a young mother on the Black Sea coast who gives birth to a non-human being and the dark struggle she endures to protect her child.
Gül gives birth to a baby that does not look human following a traumatic delivery on the Black Sea coast. Although the man by her side abandons her, Gül refuses to give up on her baby and decides to raise her child alone and protect her from any threats that may come from those around her. As Gül becomes increasingly isolated from society, her strong bond with her child gradually turns into a process that pushes her to her physical and mental limits. Blending elements of horror and fantasy, the film explores themes of motherhood, loss, alienation, and transformation within the atmosphere of a dark folk tale.
