The film tells the story of "To Catch a Predator," a highly-rated TV show in the U.S. in the mid-2000s in which pedophiles who arranged to meet children they had met online were caught red-handed on camera, and of the show’s driven host, Chris Hansen.

In 2006, journalist Chris Hansen was preparing to make a big splash with *To Catch a Predator*, a show that pushed the boundaries of television journalism. Using hidden cameras and police operations, the program confronted adults who had attempted to meet children online, catching them red-handed on camera. As the show quickly became a television phenomenon, Hansen and his team faced not only growing public interest but also ethical debates sparked by the methods they employed. The film examines the show’s rise and the behind-the-scenes process through the lens of the relationship between crime, the media, and public opinion.
