At the heart of the film is Kaja (Amalie Stuve), a small, brave cell living in the kidney of 10-year-old Erik. While all the other cells divide as they should, Kaja does not. She cannot divide; she is disappointed and, in her own eyes, a completely useless cell. To learn how her body really works, she embarks on a wild journey through her body.
