When Ju-young, a hearing-impaired woman, receives news that her younger sister Ju-hee has mysteriously disappeared without a trace from the apartment she just moved into, she goes to the apartment where her sister lives to investigate. When she asks the residents about her sister, they all respond hysterically that they are tired of the noise and want silence. The eerie silence of the nights is broken by a constant disturbing noise in the background. At the end of her investigations, Ju-young realizes that behind her sister's disappearance and the unexplained noises, the apartment is haunted by a malevolent entity from her past...
