Synopsis:
How can you watch young children celebrating the holiday in the schoolyard and not be moved when the air raid alarm sounds and they are forced into shelters? Time Stamp is a documentary in which Kateryna Gornostai travels to primary and secondary schools in several Russian-occupied and liberated cities in Ukraine, recording how students and teachers continue their education under war conditions. Competing for the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, Time Stamp not only presents a slice of a people's resistance, but also reveals how Ukraine's future is being shaped. This observational documentary, meticulous and masterful in every respect, is a mosaic of images from many different regions and schools.
