Synopsis:
In the vast Indian film industry, there are very few filmmakers who follow in the footsteps of Satyajit Ray, the great master of the country's cinema... Co-directed by Tanushree Das and Saumyananda Sahi, Trapped focuses on a family with many problems. Maya struggles to provide her teenage son with a good education and discipline him by working as a maid because gender discrimination does not allow for more. When her husband, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder due to his experiences in the army, disappears after the death of a friend with whom he used to get high, it is up to Maya to find out if he is responsible. Questioning social injustice on many levels, Trapped is made all the more meaningful by the impressive performances of its cast.
