The movie follows young Finn, the only survivor of The Grabber, as he and his brother face the same nightmare.
Four years ago, 13-year-old Finn escaped by killing The Grabber and became the only survivor. But true evil returns, transcending death, and the phone rings again. The Grabber pursues Fin from beyond the grave, threatening his younger sister Gwen. As Fin, now 17, struggles with his life after captivity, 15-year-old Gwen begins to receive calls from the black phone in her dreams and has disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp called Alpine Lake. Determined to solve the mystery and end the torture for herself and her brother, Gwen convinces Fin to go to the camp during a winter storm. There, they discover a shocking connection between The Grabber and their own family's past, and are forced to confront a killer who grows stronger after death.
