The Importance of Being Earnest
Jack is a dignified gentleman in the countryside and "someone else" in the city, enjoying his freedom. When his best friend Algy joins the game under his own false identity, the two gentlemen are dragged into a spiral of lies to impress two young women. The lies grow, the roles are reversed, and things get out of hand. Oscar Wilde's witty cult comedy is still a fresh play: Before we realize how important seriousness is.
