On her first date in years, Violet, a widowed mother, is relieved when her date Henry, more handsome and charming than she expected, arrives at a chic restaurant. However, Violet becomes nervous and then frightened when anonymous messages arrive on her cell phone, and their chemistry begins to fray. Violet is told not to tell anyone and to follow the instructions, or the hooded figure she saw on her home security cameras will kill Violet's young son and her foster sister.
