Having spent the last few years in hospitals, Akın begins to realize that it is no longer possible to return to his old life after this last discharge. He returns to the family home and on the rare occasions he goes out, he visits the monumental religious buildings in Istanbul and spends time at the graves of scholars. Trying to make sense of what happened to him, he seeks refuge in a divine power, but all these divine monuments trigger an uncanny state of ecstasy in his mind. As he loses contact with his true self, his mind is invaded by another reality.
