Frankestein is a 2011 play directed by Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire) and starring Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange, Hamlet, Sherlock) and Jonny Lee Miller (Elementary, Trainspotting) alternating the roles of Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster. It is brought to the big screen with a live shot on the stage of the National Theater in London. With his childlike innocence and grotesque appearance, Frankenstein's stunned creature is left alone in a hostile world by his terrified creator. The creature, whose desperation and hatred grow as he encounters cruelty wherever he goes, decides to find his creator and make him a terrible offer.
