The Young Karl Marx

The young Karl Marx is exiled together with his wife Jenny. In Paris in 1844, he meets Friedrich Engels, the son of a factory owner, who is studying the ugly beginnings of the English proletariat. Engels, of delicate and gentle nature, fills in the missing piece of the puzzle that forms Marx's new worldview. Together, amidst censorship, police raids, riots and political turmoil, they would lead the birth of a workers' movement that until then had been neither organized nor enduring. Under the leadership of two brilliant, brazenly courageous and poisonously intelligent young men, this movement will evolve into the most profound theoretical and political transformation the world has witnessed since the Renaissance.
