Ceylan Özgün Özçelik’s first feature film, *Kaygı*, which premiered at the Berlinale, explores the impact of collective memory on the individual through the nightmares of Hasret, an editor at a news channel.

Hasret, a woman in her 30s who works as an editor at a news channel, has been having the same nightmare for a long time. This recurring nightmare leads her to wonder: Could it be that her mother and father didn’t actually die in a car accident? A psychological thriller rooted in the themes of collective memory and its spheres of influence, *Kaygı* unfolds through the nightmares of a woman whose musician parents died in a car accident 20 years ago. Hasret lives in an unsettling world where reality and delusion blur. She searches for her past within her own memory.
